Sharon received her certification in Life Coaching then a specialty in Creativity Coaching and Dream Giver(a Christian focus inspired by Bruce Wilkinson). Coming from a background in various secular and spiritual behavioral health modalities prepared her to investigate coaching, what it is and is not and to pursue training. Sharon then sought training through ILCT(Institute for Life Coach Training-Christian Track) as well as certification(CLC). ILCT is accredited by the ICF(International Coach Federation). Through this learning she also realized that her training would be self-applied. Sharon then became a member of CCNI, attending and speaking at breakout sessions for conferences. Most coaches will also follow a niche or branding in a particular area, such as corporate or health and wellness coaching. For more information about Sharon, please click on the bio link here.

For over 30 years she has followed her instinct and calling to walk along side people who were seeking ways to live a hopeful and fulfilling life. This is coupled with a realistic view and knowledge of church work, raised in a pastorate family, as well as non-profit church ministries. Sharon listens intuitively and encourages her clients to move from complacent to being motivated towards a balanced sense of being while following their heart's desire. She works with people seeking direction and right choices towards what truly is important in one's life, encouraging implementing their values, abilities, talents, gifts and passions.

Additionally, Sharon believes in learning by experience in order to really help others and at the same time recognizing that everyone's story is comprised of many events in life. Unique to each person is education (either learned from life in general or formal), the family one comes from, how conflicts and emotions are managed (mentally and spiritually), personality, passions, traits, talents and from a Biblical perspective(gifting). When reading Psalm 139, and inserting a personal name, it is evident that God has a definite plan for each and every person.

She enjoys working with people who endeavor to gain clarity on their purpose, calling and what is really important along with keeping up with the day to day responsibilities, unforeseen circumstances, relationship issues and finances. Along with formal education, personal experience and certifications, Sharon can identify where people are, learning and transforming from what was not working to a solution. Through her training as a Coach she has personally experienced making decisions based on core values, making time for important matters rather than putting them off due to day to day demands, more faith in God's timing and direction, working more out of focus rather than chaos or managing chaos, and many other challenges that hinder expression of what we are meant to do with the little time here on planet earth. Before that training making choices in the right direction were challenging, at times a waste of time and missed opportunities for God's timing and intervention.

As a fine artist and author, an additional certification in Creativity Coaching motivated her to find time for these passions and today enjoys assisting people in the visual and performing arts who want to further use their talent and gifting publicly, business and/or for church work. As Sharon pursued discovering a map of her own life, she discovered that fine art, encouragement to others and writing was foundational in her life and began to sense a misdirection by following perceived or real expectations of others. She pursued as an adult her own creative side and ways to follow what was natural and God-given. Visit www.nwmaritimeimages.com for Sharon's personal creative expression. Yet, those other paths have also prepared her for Coaching creative people and the challenges they encounter. Once intrinsically becoming aware of what one's values are, a target market and making choices to compliment the same leads to greater success.

Sharon believes that we do very little to tap into all that God has in mind for us. While there are good reasons for this, people can also become complacent (bored) and not motivated with work and life in general. Many well meaning attendees in churches fall into wherever the volunteer positions needs are rather than serving others with their true gifting and calling. The challenge then becomes just what is that?

Previous to pursuing a coaching profession, Sharon observed positive outcomes for people she helped who desperately wanted to overcome the emotional difficulties in life. We all experience these difficulties. While specializing in Psychiatric Nursing was value added, the most effective and lasting changes in others came through pastoral care/counseling and Biblical/Christian counseling through education, individual care, facilitating and leading process groups. Once experiencing change to a more faithful and loving presence, people would often ask "Now how can I help others and what does that look like?" This is where Life Coaching comes in.
